Here is a short introduction about me, Winchett Gabriel Stardale (aka Wilfred Gabriel), and the things I do. I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. I’m expected to finish this degree by Year 2015 and hoping to pursue graduate studies in Linguistics (Applied or Theoretical), Language Education and in Theatre Arts.
My interest in the study of language began with a dream of becoming a teacher, a stage actor, then a journalist. Later, I became fascinated with languages that I particularly enjoyed reading articles about it. It’s one of the few reasons why I chose BA – ELS.
At present, I am not yet involved in writing a thesis but I am interested in studying the relationship of language vis-à-vis the society… and more, most of which fall in specific uses of language in different settings and cultures. (If you have one that can be done in 4 months, I am welcoming ideas!)
